Text a Tip

The Glassboro Police Department now allows the public to share important public safety information anonymously with police by sending us a secure text message about crimes or suspicious activity in our community.

We have launched “tip411″, an internet based tool from CitizenObserver that enables the public to text message an anonymous tip to police and lets the officers respond back creating an anonymous two-way conversation. Anyone with a cell phone may send an anonymous tip – or even photograph – to the Glassboro Police Department by texting GLASSPD and their message/tip to TIP411 (854-411).  Or, to make it easier, you can download our crime tip APP by searching “GlassPD” on either app store for both iOS and Droid phones!

Anonymous web tips can also be submitted right from this website or even from our Facebook page! Additionally, if you access the crime map on this page, you can click on an incident and submit a tip directly from there!

The public is our greatest law enforcement resource. Tip411 allows a safe and secure way for community members to share important information with police without the fear of retribution. It is 100% anonymous, as CitizenObserver’s technology removes all identifying information before police see it and there is no way to identify the sender.

Those with questions about our text-a-tip program can contact Community Services Officer Inv. Julie Howery at 856-881-1501, ext 88167 or at jhowery@glassboropd.org.
