The Glassboro Police Department has partnered with Citizen Observer to bring our “text a tip” program along with “Crime Mapping” to our community. We feel providing this information allows the public to see exactly what kind of activity is occurring in their neighborhoods and allows for a better understanding of the community. Additionally, if a viewer has information about a specific incident, they can submit a “tip” directly from the crime map.
The Crime Map also allows the Police Department to better identify crime trends that are occurring. This way, the department can allocate it’s resources more effectively as these trends change.
If you click on the link below, it will bring you to the Crime Map for the Glassboro area. You can filter what type of incidents you would like to see as well as set the time frame you want to review. Incidents are populated directly from our Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system and plotted on the map in the general area of the call. To protect the privacy of victims, callers and other involved persons, the exact address of the call will be omitted and the marker will be off-set from the specific location, but still in the area of the incident. Additionally, sexual-related crimes are omitted completely from the map.
